Bonny is a beautiful 3-year-old Spanish Mastin who was adopted from Spain to the UK in February 2022.
Bonny is a fantastic dog, she loves kids and was living with a 3-year-old and a 12-year-old. She is used to being around horses, and cats, she gets on great with other dogs and people.
As Bonny is a Mastin she is a big girl, estimated at around 50kg.
Bonny’s owner has surrendered her back to the rescue due to a change in personal circumstances.
Bonny currently struggles with being left alone, she would be best suited to an owner who will be around and able to work on the amount of time she can be left.
Currently in foster in East Kilbride, Scotland. Successful applicants will need to meet Bonny in East Kilbride before an adoption is confirmed.
Mastins are an amazing breed, they are loving, affectionate and gentle, they are also livestock guardians which means they are bred to guard livestock such as sheep. Due to her size, Bonny’s perfect home would be with someone who has experience in large breeds, preferably Mastins or other livestock guardians.
At Spanish Happy Tails Rescue UK, a Spanish dog rescue located in the UK, our mission is to connect incredible Spanish rescue dogs like Bonny with loving homes in the UK.
We ask that resident children be aged 10+, this is because younger children can sometimes be unintentionally high-energy, which might overwhelm a rescue dog who is adjusting to a new life.
We understand that all children are different, please contact us to discuss if you are looking to adopt a Spanish rescue dog.
