Hally is a mixed breed medium sized girl, just under 20kg. She has the looks and characteristics of a Galician Shepherd, a herding breed.
Hally was adopted at 5 months and surrendered at age 13 months due to being destructive when left alone, her foster home has not found that to be an issue.
Hally has been building up her confidence since she arrived. She is a very people orientated affectionate dog, loves toys and chews, she is very clever, very playful with dogs she knows, very speedy and loves being chased by her friends for play.
Hally was very likely not exercised enough or socialised (with places and other dogs) during her first year, she can react to other dogs she doesn’t know when out for a walk. It has become very clear in recent months that Hally’s high prey drive is a contributing factor to her reactivity.
Hally attends the amazing Red Collar Retreat daycare once a week for socialisation. She started off being a million miles from dogs but now she knows them all she is in amongst them and doing well, but she is not confident to play there yet but it will come in time.
Hally has started flyball training and is doing really well.
Hally would do well in an active home, ideally, someone experienced with working type breeds. She currently lives with two dogs and could live with other dogs with the right introductions, however, she is not currently walked with the other dogs due to her reactivity and has to attend day care without one of the dogs she lives with as she will guard her.
Hally would be fine as an only dog with someone who had the time to dedicate to her needs.
Currently in Angus, Scotland
