Jana

£445.00

Jana is a beautiful hound who is around 4 years old, a medium-sized girl at around 14kg.

Jana had been running alone through the forest for many months, she couldn’t be caught. Sonia and Carmen were eventually able to rescue her, the poor girl was covered in ticks and petrified of people, the company of dogs has helped her tremendously (video of Jana with dogs below).

We don’t know Jana’s past, it is possible she was previously owned by a hunter and mistreated. We have included a video from when she first arrived to show how scared she was initially. We know videos like this are distressing, but we want to be transparent about what we know of these beautiful Spanish rescue dogs and the reality of the situation in Spain.

You can see in her earlier photos that Jana has her tail tucked between her leg and her paw raised, however, she has become more comfortable in her most recent photos (towards the bottom of the page).

Ideally, we would love Jana to find an understanding home with someone who is experienced with her breed and with rescue dogs. Jana will need time, understanding and support from her people to be able to flourish in her new home.

Successful application form and home check apply, we then book transport for you and deal with everything else while you wait for Jana to come home to you.

At Spanish Happy Tails Rescue UK, a Spanish dog rescue located in the UK, our mission is to connect incredible Spanish rescue dogs like Jana with loving homes in the UK.

We ask that residential children are aged 10+ for all our adult dogs, this is because younger children can sometimes be unintentionally high-energy, which might overwhelm a rescue dog who's adjusting to a new life.
