Rico

£445.00

Rico is a lovely boy, estimated to be born in April 2022 he has recently turned 2. In his two years, Rico has already had to be rescued twice.

Rico was originally found with a leg injury, the shelter took him in and cared for him, his leg was treated and he was available for adoption. A happy young dog, great with people, kids and dogs.

In November (2023) Rico was adopted in Spain.

Fast forward to January and Sonia felt the need to check on Rico, she found him outside on a chain, dirty and underweight. Sonia thinks he was kept in the dark and made to sleep on the ground.

Rico is now back in the care of the shelter and desperately needs to find a home of his own. He is working on gaining some weight back and at the moment he is not quite himself, he seems a sad version of the boy Sonia knew in November. This breaks our hearts, there is so much good in the world Rico, we will show you ❤️

Rico loves being with kids, adults and other dogs, he has also been cat-tested and can live with cats.

Successful application form and home check apply, we then book transport for you and deal with everything else while you wait for Rico to come home to you.

At Spanish Happy Tails Rescue UK, a Spanish dog rescue located in the UK, our mission is to connect incredible Spanish rescue dogs like Rico with loving homes in the UK.

We ask that residential children are aged 10+ for all our adult dogs, this is because younger children can sometimes be unintentionally high-energy, which might overwhelm a rescue dog who's adjusting to a new life.

For this reason, we ask that resident children be of a certain age. We understand that all children are different, please contact us to discuss if you are looking to adopt.
